The Nominal Coding structure is extremely flexible and provides up to 5 levels of analysis, from Society (for separate companies), Account Type (typically Balance Sheet or Income & Expenditure), Cost Centre, Analysis Code and Individual Property (specific to Housing Associations). The Nominal Ledger provides drill down into either associated postings or the actual source of the transaction where the original document may be viewed.
